XenZone is on a mission to use technology to create a lifetime of mental wellness for all. We’re looking for an XD Lead to join our rapidly growing, Monument-based team. With your help we’ll improve the user experience of our existing products, create new ones and bring our service users closer to the heart of what we do.
You’re looking for an opportunity to join a team that cares about the same things as you; making complicated B2C user journeys appear effortless, innovative user-research, elegant design and stemming the rising tide of anxiety and depression in our society.
XenZone are pioneers of online counselling and support. In 2005, we launched Kooth, the first online counselling service in the UK for children and young people, later followed by Qwell, our service for adults. Together, these two services help over 50,000 people every month. We see an opportunity to build on our existing services and shape a whole new domain that could fundamentally redefine society’s approach to mental wellness.
You are looking for a role where you will;
Be the first UX person (and don’t mind being the only one for now) in a team of agile, pragmatic technologists
Create an innovative user research capability that gets to know our service users needs motivations and habits and that informs strategy going forward
Make iterative UX improvements on successful consumer web products
Define and build an end to end B2B2C user journey in the mental wellness space from scratch
Raise the bar in technology and mental healthcare; find positive uses for the techniques that keep us endlessly scrolling and make the unique relationship we have with devices improve our mental health
Educate about design and customer-centricity and improve our internal focus on the user
Help us create the most human-centred design processes imaginable
We want to hear from you if;
You have an enquiring mind, love to make things better and are looking for an opportunity to make a dent in the world
You bring a portfolio of (interaction and visual design) on both web and mobile apps. Previous experience of, or an interest in building for the needs of young adults would be really useful.
You love defining, constructing and delivering innovative user research, analysing the data, convincing stakeholders of the way forward and then working with engineers to build the changes
You want to build engaging experiences for our service users. You’ll drive the user experience, interaction and visual design throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial idea generation and sketches, through user flows and wireframes to building experiences that can make a material difference to people’s lives
You’ve either worked in or want to work in complex human or regulated domains
You have the agile, iterative collaboration gene and love working closely with engineers to iterate based on data and user feedback
