Working with clients in Technology, Health, Automotive, and Financial Services, our team encounters the latest technology and partners with clients on new products not yet released onto the market. As many clients are global in nature, the research we conduct is typically international with many team members traveling to interesting locations to understand how different cultures influence product design.

Position Description
Reporting to the CEO of Research, the General Manager, Experience Innovation is a senior level role, responsible for leading and integrating our User Experience and Innovation product teams across the GfK portfolio and countries. This position is responsible for creating a global Experience Innovation (EI) strategy and integrated team to enhance our ability to deliver insights to our clients while creating a highly motivating and rewarding working experience for our people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The General Manager, Experience Innovation (EI) – Global is responsible for managing strategic leadership to the regional leads and will have will have P&L responsibility for the global Experience Innovation (EI) team. This position is responsible for yielding the benefits of alignment with GfK’s global structure, policies and processes, and transforming the business to support the “Accelerate!” global strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:
This position is responsible for structuring and aligning the organization to achieve and/or exceed revenue and profit targets.

• Implements GfK’s global strategy around Experience Innovation (EI) products and solutions.
• Works with the CEO of Research to ensure the Research business is aligned with the GfK global ‘Accelerate!’ strategy.
• Assembles the most effective senior level and local teams to meet the clients’ needs. Leads and motivates staff to deliver against company strategic objectives. Leads the business in building and enhancing the partnership with clients and creates a culture that fosters the delivery of insights to clients that helps move their business forward.
o Drives successful innovation & business growth by helping clients design intuitive user experiences.
o Innovating world class products and services through human-centered research and design services.
• Maintains a public profile as thought-leader in Innovation and User Experience to sustain GfK’s position globally.

Requirements
Experience and Skills:
The successful candidate will have an established history of working in the fields of innovation and user experience, this includes but is not limited to the following experience:
• Be a strong, capable leader at the strategic and tactical level; deep knowledge in Innovation and UX service offerings.
• 10+ years of experience building strong client and internal partnerships, a including a proven track-record in strategic business and integration planning.
• 5-10 years of experience managing senior teams. Proven success in building high performing teams and in leading teams to achieve innovative, outstanding results.
• Strong financial and commercial management skills with demonstrated success managing a P&L management and growing business
• Must have an exceptional understanding of User Experience and Innovation markets.
• Proven capability integrating business units and/or work teams into a new organization or structure.

Education:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree; Master’s degree preferred
