Full-time Senior User Experience Researcher

Who you are
You are an experienced researcher who is driven by empathy and a passion for understanding people. You have designed and conducted generative, formative and evaluative research projects using qualitative and quantitative methods. You have a passion for generating creative insights that help teams build better products and services. In addition to having a proven track record in designing and delivering a wide range of research projects (including field, lab-based, remote, moderated and unmoderated research), you have a passion for learning, improving, adopting, and adapting research methods that get the best results for your clients.

What you’ll be doing
You will work directly with CG clients to identify key research objectives in partnership with product management, design and engineering teams, develop a plan and carry out the research engagement. You will collect and analyze data through a variety of channels and methodologies, manage multiple stakeholder needs, interests, priorities and expectations with the highest levels of customer awareness. You will be responsible for the final delivery of the research engagement and aid with project budgeting and scheduling. You will mentor and cultivate a growing team of user researchers.

You will be a key advocate for CG’s research group and responsible for pushing the evolutionary boundaries. You will develop points of view through cross-project synthesis and workshops to inspire colleagues, clients and the market, deepening our position as thought leaders and respected practitioners.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human-Centered Design, Information Science/Design, Anthropology, or similar
  • 7+ years of experience leading and practicing HCD research
  • Experience in multimodal systems design research
  • A thorough understanding of the relationship between business, technology, user experience and role of user research
  • The ability to understand, synthesize, analyze and interpret complicated data
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, finance, and operations
  • Demonstrated thought-leadership with a passion for translating data into action
  • Strong grasp of quantitative data analysis and statistics
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate participatory design research sessions using a variety of techniques and generating a variety of outputs
  • Experience in conducting, analyzing, and synthesizing qualitative user research
