About the Position
Jive is looking for an experienced, passionate, and deeply motivated UX/UI Designer who enjoys all aspects of the user experience design. We need a go-getter who will take ownership of products and features as well as collaborate with other UX team members (we have three other designers) to arrive at the best solutions.

What You’ll Do
• Design beautiful interfaces using modern design tools (we mainly use Sketch).
• Understand how to use low-fidelity and high-fidelity design artifacts properly to learn and to communicate to stakeholders.
• Understand the importance of visual consistency across products and customer touch points both in terms of branding and design patterns.
• Be able to conduct user research and testing to continually improve the user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to estimate scope and adjust priorities.
• Work closely with the development teams to ensure successful handoffs and guide the implementation of the design and experience.
• Provide UX and UI design for our full technology platform (including desktop, mobile, and web-based products).
• Be egoless; be able to accept critique and champion the best idea even when it might not be your own.
• Work with a positive attitude.

What You’ll Need to Be Awesome at Jive
• 5+ years of experience with web application design.
• 5+ years of user experience research.
• Ability to understand responsive design and how to use grid systems.
• An excellent portfolio of Web and Mobile UX/UI work.
• Ability to make educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete information.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and be proactive.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Ability to contribute to several different projects at once and be able to take ownership of the projects assigned.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile design environment.
• Skills in presenting ideas and communicating design decisions verbally and in writing.
• A passion for the user experience, people’s stories, and how design affects them.
• A strong desire to continuously improve.
