Full-time Front/Back End Developer

at AEG MEDIA in London

We are a start up based on London on the verge of developing a groundbreaking IOS application with a planned launch in the UK. Most of the discovery phase has been completed and we are now looking for a Font/Back End Developer to drive the developing phase and get involved on a long term basis.

As a lead Font/Back End Developer, you will be responsible for translating UI/UX design wireframes into actual code that will produce visual elements of the application and have great input in designing innovative features.

Opportunity to become a partner of the company is available to the right candidate able to show vision, innovation and ambition to become a major player in the app business.

Experience with payment/banking app a bonus. MUST be based in London!!

General Responsibilities

Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills And Qualifications

Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Experience shipping one or more Objective-C or Swift iOS apps, ideally currently available in an app store
Ability to showcase a personal projects that show an aptitude for engineering and product sense
Ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and get things done quickly and well
Good understanding of of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc…
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
