Department Description

The Regional Marketing team is a newly created marketing resource within the Asia Pacific region designed to foster excellence in marketing strategy and execution through the development of regionally executed marketing programs and the provision of strategic and tactical support to country marketing teams. The regional team works alongside country channel marketing teams as well as regional and local distribution teams to ensure a consistent strategic direction for our sales and marketing programs.

The Digital Solutions Team is responsible for ensuring Fidelity creates a world class digital experience for its clients across B2B and B2C channels. The team is responsible for regional web strategy, the creation and consistent application of web content and all aspects of digital marketing. The team works closely with country marketing heads to provide guidance and execution as required.

Purpose of your role

The purpose of this role will be to lead the regional user experience design process. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely usability services, design and research to business units by serving as an independent reviewer of activities to ensure software applications meet user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Manager and oversee external UX and design vendors
• Working with your global peers to define and document UX design standards, patterns and principles to be shared with internal and external development partners
• Develop a user experience methodology for Fidelity, helping transform the organisational thinking on user experience design and human/computer interaction
• Define and implement effective and efficient processes and tools for developing usable and satisfying user interface designs for Fidelity’s various web-based and broader digital projects
• Articulate the user experience needs and value across the organisation, ensuring the methodologies become ingrained in development processes
• Manage and actively participate in the creation of all user interface designs, within budget and project schedules
• Develop, maintain and continually improve the process for providing research needed during web/ digital project prioritisation and development
• Continually improve the engagement process between internal and external designers and usability research

Experience and Qualifications Required

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in user interface design, information architecture, usability testing, human factors and other related disciplines within a consultative or corporate environment.
• Experience managing design and usability practitioners
• Proven ability to install usability as a core value within a large organisation’s culture
• Outstanding communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Experience evaluating and managing external vendors
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as psychology, human factors or HCI is a strong advantage
• Asian language skills are a distinct advantage, but not a requirement
