Freelance Information Architect/UX Designer

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and creative individual for the position of Information Architect/UX Designer as part of our UX team. You’ll be responsible for developing and documenting the structure of multiple web and mobile properties and for defining user experience across many forms of digital communication including website, mobile. You’ll create common IA/UX deliverables including site maps, wireframes, process flows, website audits, competitive assessments and reviews, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
■Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, business development, and developers to architect information effectively for websites and other creative projects, ensuring all IA practices directly address customer needs.
■Collaborate with interactive designers to determine optimal navigation, placement of components and page design.
■Create and document information design concepts and solutions by various means including diagrams, site maps, user flows, annotated wireframes, and prototypes.
■Perform content analysis, task analysis, and task modeling; develop use cases/scenarios; lead and recommend test methods and usability testing.
■Maintain a consistent focus on exceptional user experience and merge research findings, creative innovation and best practices to generate unique, user experience solutions.
■Identify and create opportunities for user feedback in the development of new and existing features.
■Examine and leverage TVG traffic analysis to refine user flows.
■Stay current with advancements in interactive technology and competitive or complimentary products, and advocate for the appropriate application of those advancements in our own products.
■Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in the information architecture discipline, as well as industry news and developments; work to build similar knowledge among other design and production team members.
■You will not be expected to design visuals as a part of this role.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
■Minimum BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Library Science, Psychology, Human Factors or related field.

Knowledge & Experience:
■Minimum 4 years of UX/IA experience.
■Ability to produce effective wireframes, design mock-ups, user flows, and prototypes to communicate ideas to others.
■Expertise in Axure or Sketch
■Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent projects.
■Ability to understand complex systems and speak on a technical level with programmers and developers.
■Working knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and the major mobile platforms.
■Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform implementation techniques.
